The conference aims at bringing together two conceptual frameworks which share the absence of a fixed object: two communities without a state and beyond statehood, experiences of marginalization and violence, engagement with fluidity and a constant flux of identifications.
What do queerness and (Post-)Yugoslavia have in common? In what ways does queerness transcend the (Post-)Yugoslav condition, and how does this condition influence queer lives and queer arts in return? Can we critically think about (Post-)Yugoslavia through and with queer experiences? And how can we re-think queerness through (Post-)Yugoslav experiences?
