Театровед, театральный критик.
Окончила факультет журналистики Санкт-Петербургского государственного университета; театроведческий факультет Санкт-Петербургской государственной Академии театрального искусства. Кандидат искусствоведения («Кинофикация театра: история и современность»). Была редактором отдела «Театр» журнала Time Out Москва, арт-директором фестиваля «Новая драма» и проекта «Новая пьеса» в рамках фестиваля «Золотая Маска», членом экспертного совета фестиваля «Золотая Маска»; является куратором программы Russian Case-2018 фестиваля «Золотая Маска».
С 2015 — куратор «Школы современного зрителя и слушателя» Электротеатра Станиславский.

 

Kristina Matvienko was born in 1974 in Latvia.
She studied in the Department of Journalism at the Far East State University, and she graduated from the journalism department of St. Petersburg State University in 1996. She graduated from the theatre journalism department of the St. Petersburg State Academy of Theatre Art  in 2001, and in 2002 she moved to Moscow.
From 2004 to 2007 she was the editor of the theatre section in Time Out magazine Moscow.
From 2005 to 2008 she was the art director of the New Drama Festival.
She has been a play selector for the Lyubimovka young drama festival since 2006.
She has been the curator of the New Play festival since 2009.
In 2010 she defended her thesis, The Cinemafication of Theatre: History and Modernity (St. Petersburg State Academy of Theatre Art).
In the years of 2008, 2009 and 2011 she was a member of the advisory council of the Golden Mask Festival.
She was the curator of the Russian Case program of the Golden Mask Festival in 2012 and 2013, 2017, 2018 and was the curator of the Mask Plus Festival within the Golden Mask Festival in 2014.
From 2010 to 2012 she was Assistant to the Artistic Director of the Stanislavsky Drama Theater in matters of creative development.
She took on curatorship of the Stanislavsky Electrotheater's School of Contemporary Viewers and Listeners in 2015.
She frequently publishes in newspapers and magazines.
