Wiener Slavistisches Jahrbuch / Vienna Slavic Yearbook
The Wiener Slavistisches Jahrbuch / Vienna Slavic Yearbook, a specialist journal established more than six decades ago, has been published by the Harrassowitz Verlag Wiesbaden since autumn 2013. Thus – in accordance with the longstanding role of Vienna Slavic Studies as working on the cusp of diverse national cultures in Eastern, Central, and Southeastern Europe – we were able to redefine our periodical publication in the international scholarly context.
The Vienna Slavic Yearbook publishes original research in all areas of Slavonic Studies. As a rule, articles, materials, discussion contributions, research reports, and reviews should be written in German, English, or Russian.
The journal is published annually, with each issue containing about 300 pages; an electronic JSTOR version is currently being developed. Up-to-date information for contributors can be found on the relevant website.
All contributions submitted for publication go through a double-blind peer review process, which is conducted by the Editorial Board and an international Advisory Board. Decisions regarding acceptance of contributions for publication are taken by the Editorial Board.
Closing date for sending contributions for Volume N.S. 5 (2017):
